| Tattooing and Microchipping |
Bosen Kinder Hundesport is pleased to offer tattooing and micro-chipping for puppies and adults for a
reasonable fee as a service for breeders and owners of all breeds of dogs. We have a standard
German-made Haupt 7-digit tattoo kit and use AVID 10-digit Euro-chips, which can be read by the widest
variety of scanners available on the market today.
We are a GSDCA-WDA club, and as yet our parent organization does not have an official tattoo/breed warden
program, but once such a program is in place we plan to be among the first clubs to comply with all
regulations.
Puppies should be tattooed between 7 and 10 weeks of age. As adults must be tranquilized by a licensed
veterinarian for tattooing, we recommend tattooing be done at the time the OFA and/or Penn Hip evaluations
are performed.
Micro-chips can be injected at any age without anesthtic.
